Verizon customers caught in NSA surveillance
(RT) On Thursday June 6th 2013, it was revealed that the National Security Agency had been assembling a massive database compiled of every domestic call Verizon customers have made within the past seven years. According to the Senate Intelligence Committee, a portion of the Patriot Act allowed the NSA to collect the data all in the name of combating terrorism. Ginger McCall, director of the Open Government Program for EPIC, joins us with more on what this means for surveillance in the US.
