The Fab Four Strikes Again
(Stephanie Kienzle) The Fab Four of North Miami Beach are still up to their old tricks. As I reported on January 9, 2011 (http://votersopinion.com/archives/593), four of the seven council members, Myron Rosner, Phillipe Derose, Frantz Pierre and McKenzie Fleurimond, decided to hire Mario Bataille as their first choice, an unqualified and inexperienced person for the position of City Clerk. They voted in a bloc knowing full well that the three dissenting votes wouldn’t be able to overturn their decision. Fortunately for the residents, Mr. Bataille declined the offer. I think he’s pretty fortunate, too, since the residents would never have let this drop. He would have taken a lot of heat from the public, through no fault of his own really. He’s just a guy looking for a job. I am sure when Mr. Bataille applied for the position in North Miami Beach, he had no idea he was stepping into a land mine. I’m sure he also had no idea that NMB was the epicenter of the psycho magnet known as south Florida.
