Texas woman sentenced to five years probation for spanking her child

EDITORS NOTE: This is a prime example of the ongoing war on the family around the world and right here in the USA.  The mother was charged for spanking her child, that’s it, even CPS admitted that it was nothing more than a simple spanking.  The judge however decided that “you don’t spank children” and gave the woman 5 years probation for the “crime” of punishing her child.  I don’t support beating kids, but I do support a good ass kicking now and then.  One of the reasons children today have no respect for adults at all is because they have no respect for their own parents thanks to the state and the school system.  Putting your kid in “time-out” does nothing.  When I was a kid there was no “time-out”, we had what was called “times-up” which meant you were about to get your ass handed to you.  Children are not taught boundaries or respect anymore because it is all about being a citizen of the world, and they are taught that their parents are wrong about everything.  Charlotte Iserbyt has talked about this in her book THE DELIBERATE DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA.

(CBS)    A judge in Corpus Christi, Texas had some harsh words for a mother charged with spanking her own child before sentencing her to probation.

“You don’t spank children today,” said Judge Jose Longoria. “In the old days, maybe we got spanked, but there was a different quarrel. You don’t spank children.”

Rosalina Gonzales had pleaded guilty to a felony charge of injury to a child for what prosecutors had described as a “pretty simple, straightforward spanking case.” They noted she didn’t use a belt or leave any bruises, just some red marks.

As part of the plea deal, Gonzales will serve five years probation, during which time she’ll have to take parenting classes, follow CPS guidelines, and make a $50 payment to the Children’s Advocacy Center.

She was arrested back in December after the child’s paternal grandmother noticed red marks on the child’s rear end. The grandmother took the girl, who was two years-old at the time, to the hospital to be checked out.

Gonzales who doesn’t have custody of the child or her other two children, is trying to get them back, but until CPS feels she is ready the kids are living with their paternal grandmother.

  • First: who spanks a two year old? Second: Probation? court? The grandmother couldn’t confront the mother? The nanny state has officially reared it’s ugly head. That judge could use a good ass-beating and demotion!!!

  • I agree with the editor on this headline. This Judge is obviously not worthy of his position. You dont punish a parent for giving the appropriate punishment to a child. We should be reprimanding the liberals who allow their children to grow up to be houligans and bad elements of society because they have no respect for the consequences of their actions. The fact is there must always be at least the option of a spanking. If a child is given a time-out and put in a corner…what is the incentive for them to stay in that corner? You can either waste your time by putting the child back in the corner everytime they refuse to stay in the corner (most parents dont have the time to do this all day and many children are strong willed or consider it a game to push their parents in this manner). Or let the child know that there are physical consequences, such as a sore butt, in store if they dont accept the non-physical punishment.

  • Two year olds need beatings the most.

Damn snot nosed smelly shit machines, always yelling and wanting food. Ugh.

  • The first thing that needs to be addressed is that the state or the Government have no business telling how to run your family. They don’t pay the bills!

  • This is exactly the reason why we have kids running around wanting to gangbang and they can’t keep their pants up. It’s bad enough that they kicked Dad out of the household and it leaves Mom to pick-up the displine. Don’t these neo feminists and neo liberals get it?

  • This exact same thing happened to me in Livingston Parish, Louisiana 21st District Court. My ex-wife Carla left me 4 months pregnant and suffering severe post partum depression from our first and only child at the time who was 2 years old. She moved back in with her parents, took my daughter, and schemed a method to empty the house and bank account. The dept of OCS/CPS was all too eager to help her if she accused me of abuse, so she did. After having my daughter during a weekend since I worked all week to provide for them, she accused me of ‘spanking’ my 2 year old daughter and leaving a bruise. My daughter was very terrified and insecure because of the recent events and upheavals in her life and I did apply several spankings through out the weekend. However, the doctors at the hospital that my ex and her mother brought my daughter to, stated for the record that even though there existed some slight blemishing upon her buttocks, she was absolutely fine. Pictures were taken, charges were filed under “Simple Battery”, I was decended upon by detectives, forcibly handcuffed and arrested. The detectives, one named Bowden, falsified statements concerning what I had said upon being arrested and stated that I had admitted to spanking and leaving bruises. I had only admitted to spanking! I was forced to undergo parenting classed, anger management at my expense, and was placed under a ‘no contact with victim order’. I was prosecuted for 2 years as the Assistant D.A. Cathy Peever invented and fabricated evidence, tortured me with many continuances, and compelled me to undergo psychiatric evaluations. Each time I passed with flying colors, impressed all involved, received certificates of completion, and further angered the D.A.’s office as they could not find anything to prosecute me for. However, after 2 years of missing my new daughter more than life itself, and never having met my now 1 year old son, who was born during all this, I accepted a plea bargain deal under threat of 6 months in jail IF convicted and was placed under 2 years probation. I was reunited with my children ONLY after I was able to obtain a Judges signed order for my ex to release the children to me under our joint custody divorce agreement. BE VERY CAREFUL OUT THERE PARENTS!! THE STATES JUDICIAL SYSTEM HATES YOU AND WANTS ALL OF YOUR MONEY IN LEGAL DEFENSES. No honor remains, spanking IS illegal now, and I was grossly mislead as to what to expect of the world when I was raised.

  • Oh, and the day I was arrested and before I could post bond, my ex and her father rented a U-haul truck and emptied the house and bank account. Just thought I would add that in there to provide some further details 🙂 Be careful out there people, please! I’d hate for anyone to be tortured and assaulted as I was.

  • I think this judge needs to be out of a job!!!!! Come on Texans take this guy out of the justice system. And who is he to say if children gets spankings? Why does he think its different today that the thousands of years of people spanking there children. Maybe he is right… children get lot fewer spankings now-a-days because we have to worry about idiots like him… all the while our culture is morally decaying right in front of our eyes. Get this guy out of his job… he should be in NO position of power!!! I really cant believe hard working tax dollars are paying this guys bills. Pathetic!
