“Let the Architects In!”…Netroots Nation shuts AE911Truth out of conference
(Andrew Steele) From June 7th-10th in Providence, Rhode Island, Netroots Nation will hold its annual conference for activists. According to the organization’s “About Us” page, under the headline “The big picture” (presumably a write up of its mission), it states: ” We amplify progressive voices by providing an online and in-person campus for exchanging ideas and learning how to be more effective in using technology to influence the public debate” . Part of its name– “Netroots” — is a term referring to “populist campaigns and movements sparked, promoted and conducted over the Internet”, the webpage also states. Its “What is the Netroots?” page tells readers to think of Netroots Nation as one big political family, consisting of bloggers, news makers, social justice advocates, labor and organizational leaders, grassroots organizers and online activists. And like any family, of course, “Sometimes they agree; oftentimes they don’t.” But that’s all right, because according to the site, “common threads connect us”.
Apparently, however, those “common threads”– at least in the eyes of its organizers– don’t include figuring out how the laws of physics were defied one morning during an event that continues to shape our nation’s domestic and foreign policies.
