3 South Fla. deputies face felony charges
(MIAMI HERALD) FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Three South Florida corrections officers face felony charges following an investigation that involves jailhouse contraband and sex.
The detention deputies, who work for the Broward Sheriff’s Office, were arrested Thursday and later released from jail.
Authorities say 29-year-old Salisia Pascoe acknowledged having consensual sex with an inmate in a storage room. She faces four third-degree felony charges.
The other two officers – 21-year-old Kiara Monet Walker and 29-year-old Roderick Lorenzo Lopez – also face contraband and misconduct charges. Officials say the officers used cell phones to “facilitate a felony.”
Sheriff’s officials are continuing to investigate the incident.
Sheriff’s records didn’t say if the deputies had attorneys.
