A 19-year-old was arrested Tuesday night, accused of throwing firecrackers at cars that had to swerve out of the way to avoid them, according to a sheriff’s report. Alexandria L. Maloney of Cherry Hill, N.J. told a deputy that she threw firecrackers around 7:15 p.m. while she was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle on U.S. 1 heading north of Jennings Road, the report said. When asked why, she told a deputy she didn’t think it was that serious. She faces a felony charge of throwing a deadly missile from a moving vehicle. Maloney was released from St. Lucie County jail after posting $30,000 bond on Wednesday afternoon.
