Schools or prisons? Cities choose incarceration over eduction during budget cuts

(RT)   Cities across the country are shutting down schools as way to deal with budget deficits. In cities like Chicago and Philadelphia, government officials say the closures are a last resort. Meanwhile, millions of dollars are being directed toward building a new prison and basketball arena, among other things.

  • It has long been known by everone with half a brain…
    "If you do not build and fund schools, you will build and fund prisons".
    Of course, this may be the derired out come by those who are in the positions to make those decissions. I do not think it is the desire of the main populas.
