(FEDERALJACK)   Ten young girls were killed in Afghanistan by a landmine while they were searching for firewood. My question is this, in the aftermath of this horrific event will landmines and war be banned for the safety of children worldwide? War kills more children than anything else on the planet so when will we ban war?

10 Kids killed by ONE landmine ????? I don’t think so. I don’t know a lot about them but don’t they usually kill the person that steps on it (or hits it with an axe in this case) . . . but kills ten and seriously wounds a couple more ????!!! . . . . sounds more like a drone stike gone wrong to me. Anyone seen / got links to any photos or videos of the blast area/crater???? I haven’t been able to locate any and my bet is that we won’t get to see any either.

Sorry, but I cant see how any sort of conventional land mine can kill and maim that many kids. An IED? – yes but then they are usually buried under a road or right next to / at the side of,a road . . . . hardy the place for there to be dead wood laying around. I’m going for the cluster fuck explanation – a botched DRONE STIKE.
